There is no better time to think than sit on an airplane and do nothing. As am flying across to the western hemisphere, I have had time for myself to recap the past few days of the week – 3days to be precise.
Life is amazing. 11th Nov 2009 shall go as one of the key dates in my life. And the following Sunday as one big day, and all of a sudden I feel the skies hitting my head. ‘Is it for real?’ I asked myself as I dragged my luggage into the gates to enter the Boeing 777 heading to Toronto. All I didn’t do was to pinch myself. The first few hours in the flight were spent sleeping and now here I am with my laptop open and pouring out my thoughts on what is supposed to be THE decision of my life.
I met Jo on 11th. She was surprisingly not shy, but confident. A quality I would cherish for the rest of my life. We had some pep talk on career and stuff, shared interests, basic expectations and with no surprises our interests shall take deep roots in times to come. We accepted our mutual attraction for each other with our parents and now the discussions are on further at unexpected pace, especially after accepting the fact that I could be in Canada for the next year. A pace that kicked off after Jo’s parents came to my home on Sunday to finalize things.
It’s official. Just the dates need to be fixed yet.
And I have a lot … lot to think about and do!!! Every further decision will have to be discussed or thought before taking one. It’s shocking how things could turn in just a span of three days. And even more startling to think how easy it was to make decisions when you had minimum stake holders. Hope I get accustomed to these sweet surprises and new customs quick enough :P
