After a tiring flight from Beijing, it feels great to be back at home in my home town, Chennai. Being back to the relaxing mode, I took the liberty of delaying my blogging a little more than a week. There is no better work than relaxing!!!
The day of travel was the day when it was supposed to start snowing (as per google) and it did! In fact, I was awake all night not intending to sleep and I did walk out in the first snow of the City. It was excellent. The first time I saw it out of the windows, I felt it to be raining down heavily and not until I stepped out did I realize that it was snow that was faking the rainfall. It felt awesome. It was the first snowfall of the season and the temperature was still warm enough to make those snow flakes into water droplets by the time it hit the ground. And that exactly made me believe it was rain. And as time went by, I could not just feel the sting of the chillness over the 4th layer of garment that I had put on, but slowly started to see that the plants in the garden nearby has turned white. The cars were covered white as well. It was amazing for a first timer :)
The flight back from Beijing was extremely tiring. I reached the airport by 5 in the morning and boarded the flight at 8 amidst heavy snow winds in the Beijing Airport. And the winds made it possible for the flight to be stranded in the airport for 10hrs and eventually me sitting the flight until 6.30 in the evening still in the Beijing Airport. By the time, we were provided the tickets for the next flight out of Beijing it was 2315hrs and the flight was by 12 midnight. Finally though, I found myself sitting on a flight that finally took off to the air. I landed at Chennai the next day evening at 2200hrs and made my way straight to the bed at home.
And just after a week at the home and office, am finally trying to collate my thoughts on my recent trip to Beijing to be put up on my page soon. My next post will be on my trip to China, so do keep watching my space.
